More than 12,000 have registered online for tickets. With such a high-level of interest, the shows are expected to sell out swiftly.

While the brand new SSE Hydro venue boasts a maximum seating capacity of 12,000, to set aside room for all the cars, stunts and dramatics the auditorium will be reconfigured to provide 8,000 seats for each of the three special 90 minute Top Gear Live performances – two on Saturday 18 January at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm plus one on Sunday 19 January at 2.00 pm.
