Rally - Turnbull update

I was a bit premature (I put it down to sunstroke) with my ‘final results’ yesterday after the Blasting Magic Turnbull Trophy Rally, so here is a rather more accurate top ten!

I also claimed that Forgy had made the top ten. Well, I wasn’t far away, he and Kathryn were 14^th overall first time out in their borrowed Ford Fiesta so he should still retain his BLUE Scottish Tarmack Championship lead, but Steven Hay did very well too scoring a second in class and he was lying second overall prior to Albemarle, so the championship title lead will be very close when the points are finally calculated.

And just as an aside, the enclosed picture is Paul Swift’s ‘used tyre’ pile taken at the end of the event. And yes, that tyre in the middle with the shiny band round it – that’s the braided wire casing showing through. That’s what you get if you’re playing to the gallery. Nutter, but we all loved it.
