Road - New Shogun For UK

With Winter fast approaching, Mitsubishi couldn’t have picked a better time to launch the latest incarnation of its iconic Shogun which is available to order now. The biggest difference is the Euro-5 turbo diesel under the bonnet, but it has benefited from a facelift too.

The 2012 model year Shogun gets a shiny new chrome embellished grille, colour keyed front bumper with black skid plate, black roof rails and finished off with new 6 spoke 18” alloy wheels . The interior gets a few tweaks too with new style cloth and leather seats.

The range continues with either 3 door SWB or 5 door LWB options and in 4 trim options – SG2, Warrior, SG3 and SG4.

New to this model is a ‘Brake override system’ which will operate the  brakes if the driver accidentally hits the brake and accelerator at the same time – so no heeling and toeing then, eh?

The 3.2 litre, 4 cylinder, 197 bhp engine is cleaner and more economical with urban mpg quoted as 39.2 mpg for the LWB model and 40.9 for the SWB (Govt. Figures) although automatic specifiers will get slightly less.

Prices start from just £29,499 for the entry level SG2 model and rise to £40,999 for the higher specification SG4 model.

There is no change to the maximum permitted towing weight of 3 tonnes, so it’s ideal for cars and car trailers!
