Rally - Kingdom tomorrow

GMSC has got an excellent entry of 80 cars and crews for tomorrow’s Kingdom Stages Rally at Crail in north east Fife. I won’t be there, but I’ll put up Results at some point on Saturday night or Sunday morning.

The rally starts at 08.30 Hrs with the first of the day’s 6 stages, with the Rintoul twins first away in their EVO8. Bruce Edwards runs at two in the Tupperware GT, OK, it’s really a Darrian, ahead of Bob Grant in the Subaru, and young Peter Taylor who won last time out at Crail in his Renault Clio but is borrowing Pop’s Impreza this weekend.

Stuart Baillie is hoping to finish a bad season on a high with his Impreza and so too is Subaru runner Ross Fernie. Keith Robathan runs at 8 in the MkII with Quinton Milne at 9, and first time out in his new EVO9 having sold his MkII, with Chris Collie rounding off the top ten in his Subaru.

Other entries of note include young Alasdair Graham in a borrowed MkII, taking time out of digging for oil in the North Sea, and Walter Henderson driving his rally-daft daughter Linzi on her first ever rally as a co-driver. Crail will also give folks a rare chance to listen to the mellifluous rumble of Ken and Gordon Wood’s V6 engined Triumph Dolomite Sprint.

And of course, ‘Here come the girls’, that star-jumping duo, Carin and Christine in the wee Saxo. Fans can’t just wave hankies or flags, they have to star-jump too when the girls go past. So if you want to get fit while watching rallies, support the girls. You know what? I fancy trying to get a mass 'star-jump' going at one of these single venue events next year. Are you up for it?
