The Mid Wales Stages Rally is due to get underway at 6.15pm on Saturday
evening with 2 stages run in darkness on Saturday night and 4 more stages on
Sunday. The first round of the new look British Championship has attracted
around 115 cars and crews which is good news for the Newtown & District
Automobile Club organising team. Also
encouraging for the BRC itself is the fact that 49 cars have been attracted to
the National A event which marks the official start of the BRC season.
Quite a few of our lot are making the trip down and although I have had
to cancel plans to attend I'll try and find out what is going on.

Most of the home crews are already well known to us regulars up here
but this will be Thaarique's first visit to Wales and I'm just a bit concerned.
The Scottish trees are used to him up here and often take a step back when they
see him coming, but the Welsh trees have no idea! Fingers crossed and hope for
the best.
