Elfyn Evans held the overnight lead on the Mid Wales
Stages with a 17.2 second advantage over Sweden's Fredrik Ahlin in another
Fiesta. 52 seconds behind the rally leader, David Bogie was having his second
run out in his new Skoda holding off Tom Cave in a Fiesta R5 and Euan Thorburn
in the Peugeot - having survived a wall of death act along a banking in SS1 and
a spin in SS2. Blair Brown survived his first forest stages in the dark to hold
26th place overall but 8th in class in his Fiesta R2T.

Osian Pryce led the National B
event at the overnight halt by over 2 minutes from Jamie Jukes both in
Mitsubishi Mirage R5 machines as was Robert Blomberg in third place. Lee
Hastings was top placed Subaru Impreza driver in 7th place but Donnie MacDonald
had a time on the first stage and seventh fastest on SS2 was only good enough
to get him back up to 15th o/a.
