That's the full
report from the Mach1 Stages Rally in JB's on-line mag. Derek McGarrity and
Graham Henderson won the rally at a canter in their VW Polo GTi with John
Bradley and Ryan Crozier making it a Northern Ireland one-two in their Ford
Escort Mk2. It was left to Andy and Karen Horne to ensure it wasn’t a NI
whitewash in the Darrian, although they lucked-in when Michael McGarrity and
Greg Inglis struck trouble.
However, the best fight of the day was between the
Citroen C2R2's of Jamie Miller and David McIntyre while Innes Mochrie again impressed
in the mighty Midge - sorry, mighty Metro! And did you know that one competitor
(from Carlisle!) rode into Machrihanish on his bicycle!
