Rally - Testing times

Apparently there are some folk out there who say that when David Bogie turns up for a rally, they ask "Who is going to be second then?" Well, maybe they have a point this weekend ahead of the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally. David turned up at the pre-event test in a MINI WRC! He was not alone, reigning Scottish Rally Champion Andrew Gallacher also turned up in something different. Having won the title last year in a Ford Focus WRC, for his first run out in the forest this season he appeared in a Ford Fiesta R5. And now for something completely different, a VW Polo S2000. Peter Stewart fancied a run out on his local event so managed to get enough time off work to wheel out the Polo. And if you're wondering who the co-driver is, you're right, it's not Charlotte McDowall. Apparently Charlotte works for a terrible tyrant and couldn't get the time off, so Peter asked his (ever so slightly!) older twin brother to help him blow the cobwebs out of both the car and his oxters. However, Charlotte should be released in time replace Richard for tomorrow. Although there were a couple of heavy showers this morning, the forecast is looking good for tomorrow. Fingers crossed, eh?
