Only 3 of our lot actually started
Saturday's Cambrian Rally with Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton having a most encouraging
debut in their new Peugeot 208. They finished third overall setting three
fastest times out of 8 stages on their way to the podium. And who knows, they
might even have scored a win but for a
spin on the fourth stage costing them 40 seconds in a ditch!
Barry Groundwater and Sean Donnelly
finished just outside the top ten in eleventh place in their Mitsubishi while
adopted Scot Wayne Sissons with Peter Foy alongside was ninth. And just for
interest, Mull Rally regular Stephen Petch was eighth.
There was no luck at all for Brian
Watson and Caroline Will. The Mitsubishi
broke its suspension on the first stage and they didn't make the second.
