Rally - Time for bed

After their earlier throttle problem, Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton are continuing to go well in Rally Wales GB. At the overnight halt they are lying in 23rd place overall, but as for Garry Pearson, he'll be out in Super Rally tomorrow!

At the overnight halt, Euan said: "My tyres are knackered so I'm hanging on, but it has been really good. We came here to prove a point and make Scotland proud. I hope to continue that tomorrow." Aye, gaun yersels boys.

"We slid wide on a corner on the third test," said Garry, "and we hit a banking. The bankings on these tests are usually quite soft, but we struck a stone and it punctured the radiator. We'll carry on tomorrow and see what sort of times we can get though."

Up at the other end of the field, Seb Ogier has gone to bed with a 6.6 sec lead over VW team mate Jari-Matti Latvala. Mikko Hirvonen is third and Kris Meeke has moved up to fourth. Citroen team mate, Mads Ostberg is less than a second behind in fifth place ahead of Neuville in the Hyundai and Elfyn Evans in the Fiesta is 7th.

But tomorrow is another day and the stages should be better. Ahead lies a cold night. It's dry but the temperature is dropping. If it was slippery today in the wet, what chance a touch of ice to spice things up further?
