Better late than never, there was a wee bit of good news
from our lot in Wales last weekend on the Cambrian Rally. Dave Weston and
Kirsty Riddick won the final round of the REIS BTRDA Championship. This was Dave
(Junior's) first BTRDA victory holding off Steve Perez by 20 seconds after 8
stages with Paul Bird in third place.
Garry Pearson and Dave Robson in their Peugeot 208 R2 finished second
in class losing out to the Fiesta R200 of Kit Leigh by just 5 seconds.
He'll be insufferable (well,
just a wee bit) this weekend, but young Keith Riddick did exceptionally well at
the weekend too winning his class and finishing 36th o/a in his MG ZR with
sister Mairi keeping him under control - most of the time.
David Martin retired his Astra
in SS2 with a broken driveshaft, Gordon Alexander parked up his MG at the end
of SS2 and young Ryan Weston retired the Proton on SS6.
