Getting itself a bit of a reputation
for the social side of rallying these days, the Solway Coast Rally was rather
more subdued than usual at the weekend. Apparently there were no shenanigans
this year and everyone was on their best behaviour - or maybe the kids had
learned from past adult misdeeds and hidden their bikes. Nor was there any
grass sledging down the banking behind the Scrutineering bay. Still, building
pyramids and towers in the bar from empty beer cans and then knocking them down
from a distance was pretty tame stuff compared to past years' events.
Anyway, what was done in Dundrennan stays in Dundrennan. Stephen heard
nothing, Lewis saw nothing and Julie will say nothing - unusual for her I know,
but she's sworn to secrecy!
