Geneva Motor Show

The first major motor show of the European season is open for business, and although it’s not a ‘motor sports’ show they actually have the ideal Rally Team service barge and management chase car on show, albeit on different stands.

The Kahn Huntsman is a major re-working of the iconic Land Rover Defender 110 with a few surprises on board. Under the stretch bonnet is a 6.3 litre GM LS3 V8 engine producing around 430 bhp controlled by a six-speed automatic transmission, while the 6x6 powertrain features locking differentials.

Just one drawback. The Price. Kahn will start talking to you around the 125 grand mark!

As for the chase car, how about the Koenigsegg Agera RS? With 1160 bhp on tap, the explosive 5.0 litre twin-turbo V8 will accelerate the car from 0 to186 mph in 14 seconds. And there’s more, from a standing start, it will hit 250 mph in 20 seconds.

Two issues here, lack of ground clearance for your average service park and ‘C’ road and the price? Just over £1m to you.

It’s nice to dream, eh?

If you want more from the show, let me know.
