Yesterday the 43.69km Casamozza - Ponte
Leccia second test (of the day’s 3 planned stages) was damaged by landslides
and was due to be the first stage of today’s three stage route, but the damage
was so severe that it has been cancelled again this morning. Still that left a
30 and a 36 km test yesterday, so it’s hoped that no more trouble will strike
the remaining 36 and 48 km stages today. Makes you wonder if the WRC will cast
around looking for a suitable replacement next year. Mull anyone?
