I only just found out, but the
sport lost one its gentlemen a few weeks ago when Lance Morrison passed away.
Many of you won’t know the name, but those of a certain generation will. Lance was
the very epitomy of what club rallying is all about. One of those who went
rallying just for the sheer pleasure of it. Building and prepping the car and
then pitting his skill behind the wheel through Scotland’s green and pleasant
forests. And you know what? I never heard a word of complaint or criticism
regarding organisation or roadbooks, road conditions or route marking. He did
it for the thrill of it. We can all learn something from that.
