New laws facilitating closed-road events in Wales came into force today
(2 Feb.) following on from the new enabling legislation which commenced in
England in April last year. The Welsh Government has now published its own
statutory instrument facilitating closed-road motor sport in Wales - but still
no news on Scottish legislation.
That makes three out of the four home countries which now have the
statutory instrument in place but there is light at the end of the tunnel as far
as the Scottish legislation goes. One can only hope that the 'light' is not a
set of Cibie Super Oscars coming the other way! Fingers crossed, eh?
