Guess
who's on the telly tonight? On BBC1 Scotland at 7.30pm check out the latest
instalment of the documentary series 'The Forest' filmed in the UK's largest Forest
Enterprise estate. This week the programme takes a look at another of the important
tourist attracting, revenue earning and sporting activities held in the south
west of Scotland.
If you haven't seen it yet, this hugely enlightening
and entertaining programme reveals that there's more to forests than trees,
mountain biking and rallying. For instance, the Galloway Forest area produces
some 600,000 tonnes of timber a year, or to put it another way 24,000 truck
loads of the stuff. That's an awful lot of toothpicks.
Besides, it might be your only chance to
see this chap in a rally car this year!
