It’s not strictly a rally car, but this was well worth a look. With a high revving 235 bhp motor in a machine weighing just 675kgs the Ariel Nomad is wacky and wild enough to be interesting although I did hear one wag ask: “Where do you stick the door plates mister?” Valid point I thought. It doesn’t have any doors. Nor does it have any pockets for Pace Notes and Maps, drinks bottles or Mars bars. Unlike the Atom road car, at least it’s got a screen and wiper!

Rally - Lego meets rally
