Electric car racing is in Scotland this weekend on 13th and 14th May. Best described as autocross meets rallycross with a touch of stage rallying, the Hydro X Prix in Dumfries & Galloway is the latest round of the world wide Extreme E series.
There will be two qualifying rounds on Saturday morning followed by the Race Final on Saturday afternoon and since this is a double header weekend, the same format will be followed on Sunday. The racing will be featured on various social platforms but for those of us with less dextrous fingers the Final race each day will be shown live on ITV and STV at 13:00–15:00hrs - on both days.
Unfortunately no spectators will be allowed at this (or any other in the series) event, so it’s not just our event that cannot be watched live. However, Scottish rallying journalism may well be represented at this event so look out for first hand impressions here after the weekend!
