I have been rather taken aback by surprise to the huge response to the Mark Wilford tribute published yesterday. His wasn't a 'star' name but it seems his reputation went a lot further than those purely engaged in the professions of journalism and motor sports PR. That says more about the man and his character than any tribute. Whatever, there is a slightly longer version of the tribute here:
