After their misadventure on the Galloping
Hills, Gordon Alexander and Ian Clark
had work to do on the Nova replacing the front stub axle and steering parts but
the car had another problem, sometimes it would run and sometimes it wouldn’t,
and sometimes it wouldn’t even start. They tried everything and changed all the
electrical gubbins, ECU, coil and other bits. Still problems. Guess what? The
bracket which mounts the crank sensor had fractured in the accident and was
allowing the sensor to move about. Simple, when you know how, eh? Anyway, the
boys have got it fixed but have raised the ride height of the Nova by 20mm
ahead of what’s expected this weekend.
