At the Scottish Association of Car Clubs meeting in Bridge of Allan last night it was reported that Keith McCleary is on the mend. He was the most seriously injured spectator in the first incident two weeks ago. He was visited in hospital by one of last night's attendees who popped in to see him on her way home from Crail at the weekend. She informed the meeting that he still has a collapsed lung and has had an operation on his broken pelvis. However it would appear that he is enjoying his notoriety from his various front page spreads in the local press! He reckons he should be out of hospital in 8 to 10 weeks. Many 'ol'timers' will know Keith from the 'good ol' days' of the 70s when he was quite a handy driver in his own right, and given that he also co-drove for Ivor Clark he'll have previous experience of 'scary' times! I'm sure we all wish him all the best and a speedy and full recovery.
