This Sunday (18th) the annual RSAC Three Lochs
Classic takes to the roads of Ayrshire and the south west. Don't confuse this
event with a rally, it's a much more genteel affair called a Touring Assembly -
that just means the cars will be passing slowly enough to get a look at them!
The event starts (10.00am) from and finishes (from 12.30pm) at the
Morris Equestrian Centre just off the Kilmaurs Road to the south east of
Fenwick. There will be a short route of around 40 miles for cars in the Veteran
Class and a longer route of around 70 miles for everyone else.
There are 9 classes catering for all ages of automotive velocipede
including a class for up to date (but interesting) stuff. The event will be
concluded by a Concours d’Elegance competition after lunch.
For those of you not attending the 'Future of Scottish Rallying'
meeting at Stirling University some 50 miles to the north west, this might give
you some insight into what rallying might look like if we don't get it sorted!
