Subaru has kind of fallen off the list of desirable motor cars these
days when it comes to rally fans looking for a new set of wheels.
That’s probably
down to the fact that the company is no longer involved in rallying and no
doubt why the older cars still exert that fascination, but maybe this concept on display at the Frankfurt Show will do the trick.
Apparently, the concept is pretty close to next year’s successor
to the Impreza WRX, but of most interest, apart from the sexy looks, are the turbocharged
and intercooled flat four up front engine and the fact that it will still be four-wheel-drive.
The car is due for launch next year, but no decision
has yet been made on whether it is coming to the UK or not!
